Black Friday Special: A Lost Saturday Post

So earlier this year, maybe Marcheque? I broke my computer. I broke the FUCK out of my computer.

I drew this comic about it to explain my absence, and then never published the comic. I don't know either. But given that I broke the fuck out of my tablet recently, maybe you all would enjoy this as your Black Friday bonus.

This story starts, no shitting, with me drawing MSPixel. I listen to podcasts when I draw sometimes, and I love listening to the Retsuprae podcast. In this particular podcast, Slowbeef was talking about Undertale, which I hadn't heard of until this point.

GURL I am HERE for 90s RPG garbage! No one has ever loaded Steam faster.

Undertale or not, I still have to be able to sync my phone to my computer. I couldn't get it done, and Google was no help, so I had to call in back up.

Here's the thing --

Do not ever ask a computer scientist to do anything. They are not qualified. It doesn't matter what the issue is, they are not qualified to even touch the keyboard.

He once told me he couldn't set up our new printer because "that's a hardware thing and he's a software guy."

If pressed, Husbando~ usually offers one solution.

Did you know that there is one operating system, and that system is Linux? He uses Windows at work, I have no idea what his damage is.

I've never been able to get my tablet working on Linux, and also Linux doesn't have MSPaint, so this is a problem. Pissing around the Internet a bit, I discovered that iTunes didn't like my graphics card driver. Weird, it liked it before, but okay. So I updated it.

I hella downloaded the wrong thing. Upon restart, I got this:

This is Windows' fail safe, the system restore. Or system repair. Or something. It's been months. This pops up when Windows can't figure out how to start, and needs to fix some shit. It's supposed to run for a few hours. Mine ran for NINE DAYS.

NINE. DAYS.

This is what I think was happening.

We took a closer look at the computer on the ninth evening.

This isn't untrue, the world's biggest spider came along to help. Husbando~ named him Toby the Good Luck Spider.

This isn't untrue, Husbando~ does have a neck beard and a penguin plush.

And thus, my computer ran again. Thanks, Toby the Good Luck Spider!

Can you imagine Husbando~ the next day at work, though?

Black Friday Special: The Synthesis Ending

OKAY SO as you'll recall, my tablet is dead. Amazon swears I'll have a new one "by 8 PM tonight", but Amazon is also the prince of lies so we'll see about that.

I have a regular length comic for you. (You'll probably guess why it's not Black Friday double length when you see it.) But, it would break my heart to leave you all without a big fat Black Friday special, so here's what you're getting today:

  • Today's tabletless MSPixel
  • A bonus comic that I had sitting on my hard drive and never published because ????
  • IF Amazon gets me my new tablet in something resembling a timely manner and IF I get it plugged in and working, I'll do a second bonus comic. That's a lot of ifs though, so if Amazon sends me a box of newspapers or the tablet doesn't work with Windows 10 or something else dumb, enjoy your other Black Friday gifts.
Remember, only children who promise to stay home and not get shot get the MSPixel Black Friday specials! Let's begin. Last we left, the Star Child thought of something else to tell Shepard.

(... okay, so I know how to do "space" in MSPaint, but this was what I came up with doing it by hand. No one promised you good art.)

We don't normally see anything about synthesis unless our reputation (paragon and renegade together) is high enough. Since we did all the DLCs, it's through the roof.

That's not the best visual representation, but it's hard to depict actual living bullshit.

It ... it's not, buddy. It's not.

That's the one line in the whole ending that maybe isn't horse shit if you read some of the extended media. Fair, Bioware. Fair.

Andromeda

I think my tablet has bitten the dust, which is pretty consistent with "Bean kills a tablet once per game." :/ I'm not even sure what I do to them. It doesn't encourage me to buy an expensive one, though, if I just kill them.

Want teacher to just put on a movie? I know something we can talk about.

I haven't gotten to dig into much Andromeda news, because I've been busy drawing and yelling at another game, ahem.

This was the N7 Day Andromeda trailer. I don't like this trailer either, because like I said, I feel like at this point we should have some actual game play. You can't prove that Andromeda isn't actually an RTS or a city building sim and we're five months out. There's salarians in that trailer, though, if you look hard enough.

Game Informer has a series of Andromeda videos, this might be the most notable:

I have n o i d e a how to draw that motherfucker D: D: D: D: D: I'm pretending the art director at Bioware was drawing this guy like "bahahahha, fuck YOU MSPixel lady."

I really wasn't sold on the kett until that last shot though. The naked versions kind of look like turians with holes in their chests. I like the green, though, not much is green in the Mass Effect universe. It's usually red or blue, you know, super hero colors with a lot of black or white added in. (Unbelievably I could probably write a novel on the art direction of Mass Effect, since I've spent years peeing on it.)

Game Informer also has a video on "sexy vehicle design", and I'm not clicking on that. Goddamnit, Bioware.

Hey, have you heard about this one?

It would be cool if they stream it! They won't stream it, but I'd watch it if they did.

I'm looking at tablets now ... they don't make my old monoprice one any more, but there's some bomb ass upgrades which would be pretty cool. However, Amazon has a wacom which is cheaper than some of the monoprice ones. Do you think that would be a good idea? I've avoided wacom thusfar because come on, I use MSPaint, not Photoshop. I don't need 1200 layers of pressure, 19 hot keys and something something bamboo. I need something that won't break.

... the wacom does have a wireless kit, though, and it's the wires that tend to go sideways on me ....

So, uh, either talk to me about Andromeda in the comments or about tablets, and hope that somebody ships me something fast D: D: D: D: D:
