Citadel: Ey Yo

 photo cdl185_zpsgzk9qt4q.png

This is your daily reminder that Mass Effect is the horniest game ever printed on disc.

Anyway, we're still booking through dem archives.

 photo cdl187_zps6mavvycl.png

Always a good sign.

"Wow, Bean, that's weird that they keep including scenes where Shepard has to scan her hand to verify her credentials, and it's weird that you keep including every single one of those scenes." It sure is.

 photo cdl190_zpsmzxbpueo.png

 photo cdl192_zpsjdsg0ata.png

I love Shepard. You know what Shepard tries to do next?

 photo cdl193_zpsgscu6hyb.png

Just ... that makes total sense to her. "Huh. Unwinnable scenario. Time for pistol!"

 photo cdl194_zpsmqwtvcga.png

OH SHIT OH SHIT OH SHIT OH NO SHE --

 photo cdl195_zpsp2idoapm.png

Yeah, no, the Mass Effect Foundations series? Totally spoils that plot point. Today's fun activity corner is going back through the MSPixeled Foundations comics and seeing where I wrote Brooks out.

Another fun fact about Brooks:

 photo cdl196_zpsvhig9hwb.png

So let us consult the dialogue wheel as to what to do next.

 photo cdl197_zpskaxv4jsq.png

That's really in the game, PS.

Brooks has a lovely cutscene outlining why she's the bad guy: she stole Shepard's spectre codes at the sushi restaurant, she shot the casino owner before we had a chance to see him, so on, so on.

 photo cdl198_zpshwyks10v.png

OG Shep best Shep, but Clone Shep is not a bad Shep. Anyone who agrees with me about EDI is good people.

 photo cdl199_zpsztvcu1vv.png

 photo cdl200_zpsgqk88ryw.png

Clone Shepard walks over to a console.

 photo cdl201_zpslppfwafo.png

 photo cdl202_zps9u3xaeio.png

 photo cdl203_zpsi7igyaxm.png\

Clone Shepard speeds off, and the, uh, capsule thing Shep et all are trapped in zips off and locks itself in a vault. The vault is visually stunning, allow myself to shit it down my leg.

 photo cdl207_zpsg5tpktn5.png

 photo cdl208_zpspmbn1ihn.png

The umbrella line may be my favorite line in the game, but "Nobody steals my ship, not even me!" might be a good second.

Party In The Citadel Archives

In the Citadel archives, they've got big ass holograms full of Mass Effect history.

 photo cdl172_zpsls9c5ut5.png

Most of them are glitched out, so I don't even know what the fuck we're doing here.

Some of them display important events in Mass Effect history.

 photo cdl173_zpswqbis7uv.png

Wait, hold on.

 photo cdl174_zpsb6k4ycbv.png

The thing is, if you're an avid MSPixel reader, or even if you paid a piss amount of attention during the series, you're probably familiar with the information in the holograms. They're not that interesting.

It would have been cool to have a few holograms from the books, but the holograms are all supposed to be moments in Citadel history. Not much happens in the books on the Citadel.

 photo cdl175_zpsjgfnhwgh.png

Anyway, let's shoot the fuck out of some guys.

 photo cdl176_zpsgjur9ee3.png

 photo cdl177_zpsrwbopfds.png

 photo cdl178_zpsfixbhzxy.png

You remember when I said the archive holograms were uninteresting? I mostly just lied. There's one that's kind of cool.

 photo cdl179_zpsgi1m2zsr.png

 photo cdl180_zpsag04cnca.png

I never understood why the council was so hellbent on covering up what happened in the Battle of the Citadel when everyone literally saw it with their own eyes.

Hey, here's one for you. Why is all of this data stored on hologram? You need a spectre code to even get in here, it's not like it's a museum.

Shit, where'd the clone go? We need to talk to Glyph.

 photo cdl181_zpsgrvxvscx.png

 photo cdl182_zpsfrgedhel.png

That's the best drawing I can do of Glyph going through a door.

... hey, can Glyph go through doors? Can holograms just pass through walls like that?

News Break

I am so completely slammed this week that I'd like a little extra time to draw. So. E3's coming up, you want to see what the rumor mill is coming up with ala Mass Effect 4?

Good news, there is none! Sort of. Bioware's got their mouth so shut, since like I said, E3 is nigh. I actually dug up this tweet that's been causing a buzz. It's a picture of the mocap set! That's all it is!

Apparently there was some sort of survey about Mass Effect 4? Honestly, I remember taking a survey, I'm wondering if I'm thinking of the same one. People have derived some plot details, you can go look at the Internet's wild guesswork here.

... I think the new rumored plot looks badass. I was scared to death ME4 was going to be open world and plotless. How in the fuck was I going to MSPaint that?

This article gives a few more plot details, and discusses the idea of seeing old trilogy characters. My guess is that Liara, Garrus and the rest of the crew won't come up any more than maybe an easter egg or two. ("Oh man, did you all ever hear about this old bastard named Archangel?" That sort of thing.)

... I'm still looking for a YouTube video of that Citadel audio I promised. If you know where it is, point me to it!

Citadel: Chase That Clone!

 photo cdl157_zpsy4vhfwfo.jpg

Gurl you did not just threaten our fucking ship.

 photo cdl158_zpshwonmjyb.png

 photo cdl159_zpsoi1y4uuu.png

Something I've always wondered: why didn't Shepard just block Clone Shepard's call? Unless maybe all the jokes I've made over the years about Shepard not even being able to check her own email weren't really jokes.

 photo cdl156_zpsienbuicf.png

 photo cdl160_zps00yssfcb.png

All right, Vega, even though you're the worst squadmate, we'll all go chase after Clone Shepard.

This mission is the opposite of Arrival. Not only do you have everyone with you (Shepard divides them up into Team Mako and Team Hammerhead), but no one, at any point, shuts up for any reason at all.

 photo cdl161_zpsblgleswv.png

I briefly considered making this entire entry twenty images of everyone slinging shit at each other, but I wasn't actually sure how enjoyable it would have been.

It's actually hard to catch all the audio on this level, as well as, you know, not die. I'm sure someone on YouTube has done it, I'll look into it.

Meanwhile, let's roll up to the archives proper.

 photo cdl164_zpsgqcyxv9k.png

omg you guys synthetic life is the best and totally worth saving

Make sure you look at the set as you walk around the level. You should be able to catch the other squadmates running around.

 photo cdl165_zps3ofp9fi5.png

 photo cdl166_zpslbebtlyy.png

Ey, who didn't forget Sonic this time? This bitch.

 photo cdl167_zpsfccpxxfw.png

Shit! We gotta go fast!

Shepard rolls up on Team Mako ... Hammerhead ... um, I get them mixed up, I think it's Hammerhead that needs rescuing. Shepard gets everyone out and safe.

 photo cdl169_zpsyglrhmi6.png

... aww, fuck, what the hell are we supposed to --
