HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
They don't make words for how wore I am (too many late nights at work, kids, it's not a good look on you), but how could I pass up today?

Happy Birthday, Shepard!
Guess what today is!
No, really, April 11th is Commander Shepard's official birthday. So, happy Birthday, Shep!
Y'all hush, Tali in a birthday hat is amazing.
On today, this day of our future space hero's birth, let me share with you my secret technique for making Shepard's Pie, which in this house gets called Commander Shepard's pie.
(It's worth noting that I've never actually had shepard's pie, so this is really just my best guess.)
- Say, "fuck, what the hell are we having for dinner?"
- Find some ground beef. Brown that shit in your cast iron pan.
- Evacuate the ground beef from the pan. Do not rinse it. Do not be that person.
- Find whatever the hell vegetables you have in the house. Peas? Carrots? Onions? Whatever's around, grab it, cut it up, throw it in the pan with all that beef grease, salt it, and cook it down. ~10 minutes.
- While that's going on, cut up and boil/mash a potato. You're a big boy now, you know how to make mashed potatoes.
- Veggies all cooked down? Great. Mix the meat back in to the cast iron pan. The cast iron pan is now your baking dish.
- Cover the whole thing up with your mashed potatoes, like a top layer. You can add some cheese on top, but I don't know how authentic that is.
- Throw it in the oven. 30 minutes at 350 should do it, depending on your oven and how cooked down the vegetation was to begin with.
